Tamarind Shrimp (or Assam Prawns) is a Malaysian Nyonya dish that is so easy to prepare and yet delivers huge flavor. The sweet, sour and savory flavors of tamarind pair so well with the shrimp. Best of all, it’s ridiculously easy to prepare with only 4 ingredients!
== INGREDIENTS ==
Prawns 8 pcs
Tamarind Paste
Soy Sauce 1 tbsp
Dark Soy Sauce 2 tbsp
Sugar 1 1/2 tbsp
Pepper
== STEPS ==
1. Trim and devein prawns.
2. Mix tamarind with water.
3. Add soy sauce and pepper into tamarind. Mix well. Add prawns into it.Marinated for 30 mins. Make sure the tamarind water cover the prawns.
4. Heat the oil in the wok over high heat. Add the marinated prawns in a single layer. Do not pour marinade in the wok.
5. Turn the prawn over for a few times. Make sure they are cook evenly.
6. Continue to fry until brown in colour.
7. When the prawns brown in colour, take it out and set aside.
8. Add thick soy sauce, pepper, sugar into it. Adjust to taste. Taste check. It has to be a combo of sweet and sour.
9. When the sauce is boil, add in prawn.
10. Cook until the sauce become thick. 11. It's ready.

亚参虾是在我妈家里常见的菜肴之一。我最喜欢其酸酸甜甜的味道。由于只有妈妈和我比较喜欢这道菜,所以妈妈每次都是准备一小份而已。某天在准备晚餐的时候,在思虑着要如何处理冰箱的虾只的时候,想到很久没吃到这亚参虾了,刚好家里也有亚三糕,就马上准备起了这道菜。 这道菜非常容易准备,如果你也不怕酸的话,也不妨试一试。
==材料==
虾 8 只
阿叁膏
生抽 1 汤匙
老抽 2 汤匙
糖 1 1/2 汤匙
胡椒粉 适量
==步骤==
1. 把虾清理干净
2. 加一些温水在阿叁膏
3. 加入生抽和胡椒粉在阿叁膏水。搅拌均匀。加入虾腌制30分钟
4. 热锅,加入适量的食油,接着将虾加入
5. 当虾已金黄色,把虾捞起,放在一旁
6. 在同一个锅里, 加入剩余的腌料
7. 加入生抽,老抽, 胡椒粉, 糖,试试味道依个人口味
8. 这个味道带酸甜
9. 酱料滚了以后,加入虾
10. 翻炒直到收汁
11. 上菜啦
